Sawn
face of a sample of lunar
meteorite Dhofar
1085, which was found in Oman
in 2003. The meteorite is an impact-melt breccia consisting
of 80% plagioclase by mass. The white and pink clasts are
mainly magnesian anorthosites; the pink color is hematite
staining from terrestrial alteration. The gray areas are impact
melt.
