Ryan A. Zeigler

Research Scientist
Ph.D., Washington University, 2005

Dr. Zeigler’s research interests involve determining the petrographic and geochemical characteristics of lunar samples, including both Apollo samples and lunar meteorites. He specializes in:

  •  The petrographic characterization of lunar samples using optical microscopy and the electron microprobe

  •  Geochemical characterization of lunar samples using instrumental neutron activation analysis (trace-elements) and fused bead electron microprobe analysis (major element)

  •  Petrologic modeling using the Magpox and Magfox programs of John Longhi.
